If I don't pick the apples from my tree a bit early the earwigs take over.

We feed all of the apples to our pet deer.

My pet deer seem to like the apple leaves more than the apples!

My wife has been saying she's got a hit out on 'em, but when Sol had me ask the boss for permission, she chickened-out with excuses like "what if he wings it and it curls up and dies on the neighbor's porch?" and "what's he gonna do with the gut pile?".......so instead of filling a couple of my buddies tags, I'll get to spend eternity listening to her screaming about her roses and flowers getting mangled foul

I've actually got permission to hunt a five acre piece and possibly the beet farm next door on Lopez. I'm not super excited about the whole thing but since I just got a new dog and time away is going to be scarce I just might do it.
I'll be seeing these cats on Sunday and will get a better take on just how many deer there are. When they asked me to off their problem it sounded like "lots" of deer and they wouldn't leave the yard if you chased em.
If some of you guys don't have punched tags by then or have limited time a Lopez Island Poker Run sounds ok.
Season for mod is Oct 11-31 and it's any deer.
Unit is 410 if you want to look up ML or bow.

I feel the same way about it Andy. When they initially asked a few weeks ago they were all about I am the only person they know that hunts and they figured my truck could hold about 15 deer. I had to tell em about limits. They said bring friends and they didn't care about limits.
I for one am not getting on the ferry with a crap load of deer by myself....but a truck load of guys and a truck load of deer on a one day mission doesn't sound bad.
I'll do my homework.
I'd still rather head east and shoot a nice mulie.
These are parents of another kid on my son's soccer team. They have no concept of hunting. He looked up "how to butcher a deer" on the internet and decided it would be better to call in a hired gun. They are probably the most liberal people I know and living in Wallingford that is saying a lot.
I'm kicking myself for not getting Brent is hunting cert last year (we are doing it this winter).
IF the intel is good Andy you and the boys are more than welcome to join in the harvest.
