Permit who needs a permit. Just put it in my name as I have a problem with authority anyways. To hell with the state. When they can start managing the resource then we will get a permit. no but seriously a permit would be a good idea. I have lots of time on my hands for at least another week. JK, nothing wrong with villain status...might earn you a target on your back, but could just as easily get you a "stay the f*&k away from me" badge, and that ain't half bad.

At the SRC our team had a water cannon that could literally sink a boat within about thirty seconds, were any boats silly enough to get close enough to try and steal a fish. A quick display with no provocation, but no soakings, pretty much put any behavior like that on the back burner for the rest of the day...

Granted, we didn't hook any damn fish anyway, so who knows? Someone may have braved the cannon had we hooked up...but I'm guessing not!

I'm thinking the key will be for the leaders from day 1 to be able to sneak out of camp and get back on the river without having an entire hoard of miscreants following them to their particular spot!

I'll sit down with Fly this weekend and we'll put together the tournament rulz, decide on a location and date and go from there. At this point I personally don't see the need to look farther than Richwine Bar on the Quillayute. We don't need permission and there would be no $5.00 charge for camping, we can have a MONSTER BON-FIRE and there is room for 200 people if that many show up. Campers can drive in and there is room for tents. Also, not that people will choose to fish it, but some of the biggest bucks returning to the peninsula will be swimming right by camp while we're there. Kind of an atmospheric bonus.

That Black, Orange and White theme on your original logo idea was pretty freaking cool.

Apparently Fly likes that one better too. I just don't like the fish graphic on that version. It's a little simple and way overdone in logo design. Perhaps the original colors with some version of just the fish in the last work-up. We'll figure it out.
