Unfortunately, Powell's political career is over. His dog and pony show in front of the UN effectively ruined any chance that he'll ever be in elected office...but I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in government sooner or later.

They showed up at my door a few weeks ago, got my voter registration fixed as something was wrong from many moves a few years back. They are aggressively getting voters lined up from what I can see and the grassroots effort will pay off in a few weeks...the electoral maps show WA as "leaning" Obama, I assumed it would be heavy Obama but maybe it will be closer here than I thought and maybe that has something to do with the street level effort from his campaign workers...cheers

I liked how during the interviews, Powell esentially said his own party's actions are in effect creeping him out. RWWJ's Calling Obama a Muslim, trying to call him a terrorist...and other scare tactic's directed at the feeble...etc.
Negative Campainging at a new low level!
I commend Powell for not being afraid to speak out against his own party's shenannigans.

Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Obama appointed Powell as his sec. of state? I was having that conversation with someone else last night, too...he's got great experience, and he certainly has some messes of his own making to clean up...his reputation could use the help. Fish on... Todd
