BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho Fish and Game officials say that if enough steelhead return to the Oxbow Hatchery, then anglers could be fishing for stocked steelhead in the Boise River by Thanksgiving.

Officials say as many as 300 or more fish could be stocked in the river from Glenwood Bridge to Barber Park as early as Nov. 6. And if the hatchery run remains strong, another 300 could be stocked on Nov. 13 and again on Nov. 20.

Steelhead limits on the river are three fish per day, with nine in possession at a time, and a total of 20 for the fall season. Anglers must have a fishing license and a steelhead permit.
