I had one good shot at a 30+ pound king I saw swim by. I'm kinda glad I missed and only scratched it's back. That would have been a quick battle.

I have caught a few kings with K16's hanging out of their mouth. Never a snoopy rod though. That would be good for a laugh!

I don't know what it is, but the drags on them still work pretty well and they cast even light weight surprisingly far! The fish I entered in the 2006 Derby... which Team Sky Valley also won by the way... I caught drift fishing! I actually felt the bite on them!

The key is buying rods that have 2 metal guides... and reels made by Shakespeare I guess? Wal-Mart for $7.99 a piece!

I am working on a mounting bracket so I can set one of those up in the drifter...just for you Richard.

However, since you promised not to tell anyone about my affinity for the pole, and you didn't even leave me a tip last time, I was envisioning someone of the female persuasion swinging from it instead of some drunken hairy guy named Stam.

How well can you work that pole with one of those leather suits on.

Leather is fine as long as you keep it well conditioned. The rubber sticks a bit and make the helicopter move quite a bit harder.
