hi im a little new to this board and was wondering if anyone can give me a little info on the green. I live in the seattle area and would like to fish the green more often. I have fished the flaming geyser area and caught a nice native hen in the 10lb. area. My question was if hatcherey fish in this river travel as high? I tend to like the river upstream of highway 18 bridge the scenerey tends to get better as you go. Thanks Adam.

Adam,
Yes, the fish travel all the way up to the Headworks dam. Get yourself a good map and get out and explore. Good luck.

Kanasket Palmer State Park...and across the river...later in the winter, like mid Jan.

Adam, I caught a nasty looking hatchery male, up above Palmer Bridge, just last Saturday that was 10.1 lbs. Then I went and sprained my ankle and had to crawl back up the muddy trail to my car. Luckily I heal pretty fast and I'm ready to go out tomorrow. There are a few places above the Hwy 18 bridge to fish, but I found out this last summer there are a lot of good runs on the river, just can't get to them unless you have access to the private property that borders most of this river, or you float it.
Metzler Park is one spot you could try, but with the water as high as it is right now, you'll never get to the river to fish it.
Have you tried the carbody hole or logjam, below the Hwy 18 bridge?
