She'd be fine if you would just realize that's not your seat ...or my fishing rod, or my lure, or my bait, or my lunch, or my beer... Fish on... Todd

Chromebrite, Nice fish! Congrats! Seastrike, Chase is only a pup so I forgive. You need to train him not to eat eagle [censored] on the river banks.

Do you really think Marblemount to Rockport is 10 river miles Salmo? It's 6 miles via Hwy 20, which pretty much parallels the river most of the way. I'd a said 7 river miles myself if I was guessin'.
I think Rockport to Faber's is more like 4 miles and Faber's to Concrete is about the same. I can't get over how much the area just below the mouth of the Sauk has changed! For the worse too, IMO.

Just for good measure, distances are about: Marblemount to Rockport - 10 miles Rockport to Faber's - 5 miles Faber's to Concrete - 5 miles Concrete to Birdsview - 6 miles Birdsview to Hamilton - 6 miles Hamilton to Lyman - 5 miles
Concrete at the mouth of the Baker is usable. The Birdsview launch is driftboat usable, but risky to launch a sled. The Hamilton launch is badly damaged, but still usable for sleds. Cockerham Island gravel bar is usable, but you have to back your truck at least 50 feet into the river to get a trailer deep enough to launch. The Lyman launch (gravel bar) no longer exists, and I didn't see any place to take out there.
The upshot is that WDFW needs a major grant from the state agency Committee on Outdoor Recreation to repair most of the boat ramps on the Skagit, and that most likely won't happen until the recession is over.
Sg Hi Salmo, It was nice meeting you last week at that take out. Thanks for sharing this Skagit river mile info and current conditions on Skagit boat launches!
