i am 16 and i am wanting to get into bird hunting i have a low budget for a shotgun.. but if anyone hasd a gun that they want to sell please post..

I wish I could help you out, reminds me of my first shotgun. A used sears & robucks single shot 12 GA. Paid tweenty bucks for it. I think I was 15 or so.

Remember it does not have to be fancy. Those birds did not know I only paid tweenty bucks for it. I took many many birds with that gun.
I would pass it down to you but it was becoming unsafe so I gave it to a friend to rebuild. I will keep my ears open for a good gun. Thanks for the old memory.

Might be out of your price range but I was at the Puyallup gun show in the spring and you could pick up nice pumps and I recall seeing a SWEET semi-auto 16gauge for about $150. It had the fancy engraving on the receiver, nearly new stock, really really nice gun.

Not sure if they were just cheap that weekend or if they're always that cheap.

What's your budget and what type of hunting? New single shots from Walmart or Kmart are cheap. Mossberg 500's (pump) are not as cheap, but still priced low. Also check the Little Nickel ads when they come out on Wednesdays.

Get yourself a single shot 12 GA.. That was my 1st shotgun. It will teach you accuracy in a hurry. I downed many birds with mine while my buddies were pumping out three shots on a single bird. And if your on a budget you'll be spending less money on ammo.

And cheap too. If you go with New England Firearms you can also buy interchangeable barrels cheaply. Two words for you "LAY AWAY". If you're on a budget you can pay a little at a time.
