I dont usually fly fish much once the king season starts but working down in silverdale and close to the canal does have its advantages. The cutties have been thick and willing, and last night was no exception. I fished for about 2 hours and boated 10-12 cutties as well as several 3-4lb resident cohos. Mostly on poppers and every fish i caught was regurgitating sandland, anchovies or small herring. A lot of fun on a 5wt and i even have a picture for posting later. smile one of the heaviest cutts i have ever caught although he didnt quite make it to the 20" mark.
ok... back to the kings smile

NIce cutthroat pics.....I'm heading down to redo one of my sister's bathrooms sometime soon in suquamish, and plan to get out a bunch. More for the big guy's, but want desperatly to spend some time with the flyrod looking for cutthroat's...Just curious, do you know who those 2 guys that I've seen many times wading up to their chests @ Eglon are?....I've always been running back to/from Kingston(or even trolling past in deeper water), and always wanted to check in and say hi, but never have. There have been more at times, but there always seems to be 2 guys that work it every time I'm down there. That whole coast is fishy, and that shallow zone looks like juvenile salmon/cutthroat habitat. Nice pics....Tom

Those cutties are simply spectacular. Beautiful and strong - a great combination.
