Well, I was just about to order 50 or so to modify them like Todd did but since they weren't meant to be modified I guess I'll just keep my money in my pocket. ;\)

Nice Todd!

I have yet to catch a Silver on a spinner in the river... maybe it's the depth? do you let it sink to bottom or fish it top water?

Keep 'em down low...and slow...the ones splashing on the surface aren't the biters...

Fish on...

No...I'm usually throwing PW's or casting spoons...sometimes a big spinner, but without the hootchie.

Fish on...

Those are very effective in the salt water too. I have seen as many fish caught on those from the beach as herring, though I doubt many of those guys are dialed in to riverfisher product as of yet. Mostly see the vibrax/hootchie combos.-T

Fishing not so hot yesterday...

Three guys, five silvers to the boat...plus about 352 humpies.

The five silvers were caught...

1 on Rvrfshr Hootchie Spinner
1 on Rvrwhrlr
2 on Rvrwglr
1 on Ltl Cleo

Not much of a sample size, so not much in the way of conclusions to draw from yesterday...except that humpies REALLY love the Rvrfshr Hootchie Spinner if you have a pink hootchie on it...kind of a stupid blind love that causes them to kamikaze all over the damn thing over and over again...good reason to leave pink Rvrfshr Hootchie Spinners at home on odd number years.

River was on the rise all morning and was so full of river snot and leaves that it was a hassle just to keep your stuff fishing...really hard.

Fish on...

Todd

Todd,

Silver sample size good enough to back-up already known conclusion, Spoon without rubber tendrils outfishes spinner with fake squid hindrance 3 to 1.

Also if you happen to be rowing a boat while Todd is fishing up front... Wear body armor, safety glasses and most importantly a helmet !

Having met him once, EDIT

Great looking spinners, I will be ordering some spoons and spinners soon.

"Silver sample size good enough to back-up already known conclusion, Spoon without rubber tendrils outfishes spinner with fake squid hindrance 3 to 1."

Uh...since I'm the only one who tossed the hootchie spinners, and only used them about half the time (I caught one coho on the hootchie spinner, one on the rvrwglr, and one on the Ltl Cleo), I think we need further testing.

Didja get a bruise where I whapped ya with the double stack? \:\)

I vividly remember a close encounter with a T-Ripped spinner, after which I was assured I would "never" be backcast hit. Sounds as though my doubts were well founded.

Still, can't say I wouldn't like a video of the incident.

"Hey Joe! Joe! You ever put a hootchie on the back of a spoon???"
"Uh, no."

Uh... yeah Todd, I think this further testing can be avoided if it could somehow just "dream happen".

UF: What you would really like to see is the video including a size 5 - #2/0'ed rvrnestler nestling into Gakto's cotton hoodie back on an extreme whip-cast a couple of hours later... "I've never hooked/hit anyone before" is still reverberating in my broken eardrum. T.Rip's close encounters were stopped on the count after number $1.219 was reached.

"This one time...Huewhuewhuewhuewhuewhuew" !

I made several extra, but Joe took 'em...to throw in the bushes somewhere when I wasn't looking.

See ya on Wednesday evening, Ike...
