A fishin' buddy that will fill the gas tank or anything in splatterback green gets me excited. I also like the bucket on board with freshwater to throw salted gear in for a quick rinse. I am not tough to please.

Agree with Todd. If I can't get to the river, I can't fish. Almost all my car and truck buying decisions have been influenced by fishing. If I cannot depend on my wheels to reliably get me to and from wherever I want to go fishing, then I know it's time to buy a new car.
Sg Back when Salmo started fishing he had to replace his horse every three years as the automobile hadn't been invented yet.

First off I would say my Cabelase Guide wear jacket. (you gotta stay dry) Second I would say my filson wool lined filson hat I call it the "storm king" the one that straps to the chin. (you gotta stay dry)
Third a good tash of some dry TP (gotta stay clean)

Razor sharp hooks or stay home. I agree! I'm a volunteer at my local schools teaching aquatic education. Come springtime we take the fifth graders fishing at outdoor camp. The guys at my local tackle shop are continually amazed at my purchase of premium hooks for this... For many of these young folks it is often the first time to catch a fish. IMHO a good sharp hook is the prominent factor determining if they even have a chance at landing a fish. I pinch the barbs because we are fishing close quarters in lakes doing catch and release.

I have a couple of things that I can't leave home without but my new favorite is the Enumclaw Auto Rebuild hat Stam sent me..... WTF!? Guess you will have to venture up this way to fish. Warning: remember what I said about gear sabotage should I be outfished... it also applies to hats that may or may not 'disappear'...
