Wow. That is pretty cool, not only is it a great choice, now we don't have to hear about it every day on the sports radio stations. We can hear about the Seahawks vaunted punting game.

It's not gonna matter.....They'll be improved for sure and may finish near the top of the Pac 10, but near the top will be as close as they get.
Anyone wanna put early money on the Ducks v Huskies game next year in Eugene? I hear Oregon's returning a pretty good QB and RB as well..... JD

Good for him -- I think there's a good chance he'll have a happier life by making this choice, but it's hard to know of course...
I wonder (hope?) if it's possible and NCAA legal to get a comprehensive insurance policy on his physical well-being for the next year (insuring his considerable ability to secure some ~$20M in guaranteed money). It seems like it's in *everyone's* best interest to insure kids in this situation (parents, kids, NFL teams, and even the insurers who make a buck), but still I wonder how the premium payments would work, and what they'd run.

Was there an offer? What was it worth. With an offer and without INS you would be a fool to stay. Always One play away from being a nobody. He should be offering bonuses to his O line if he makes it without injuries next year.

What do you know, they do this ALL the way right it seems (rare for the NCAA) http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32142025/ns/sports-college_football/* You get to pay the premium AFTER you get drafted * The NCAA apparently is one of the providers All good, and keeps kids in school. Wow. This seems to be the right system, I wonder how that happened?

No doubt $ is not the end all but stupid IMO...I mean cmon, going back to help the UW go 7-5 and to the Burrito Bowl in El Paso??
I just picture Burfict laying the wood to him, putting him on IR and then fighting for a late first round slot in 2011 with a limited rookie salary pool...not worth giving up 45 million guaranteed.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Burfict will be academically ineligible by then, so no worries.

...or forced to go the NFL cause he is too tough for the Pac 10:)
Why would Locker come back to help UW get beat 8 straight times by ASU and Oregon? Cmon Man, it just doesn't add up!

It'll be fun playing Cal or Stanford, though Fish on... Todd P.S. Even though the Noners still suck, they sure impersonated a good team tonight...damn, Warner looked like crap.

LOL...any UW fan should be very happy right now. I fully understand why he came back and agree with alot of the reasons, dont see it too much anymore and it is pretty cool actually.
IF the NFL wasnt going into a restricted rookie pool in 2011, it was a no brainer to stay. He needs more time in the pro style O that Sark is a master at teaching. Not ready for the NFL right now anyway but I would love to see him in Seahawk blue in 2011.

Liberals...................pointy headed pencil necks stuck in academia that can't make it in the real world type liberals got that done.............
Staying in school is always the right choice, long term. What? He has an uncashed lottery ticket in his pocket and you think he should tear it up and hope to draw another one next year? Brilliant. Like he can't finish his degree when his NFL career is over?

There wasn't a wrong decision in this one. Glad he's coming back, but not sure I would have done the same had I been put in that position.

Classy decision by Locker. May have a shot at the Heisman Trophy. Probably help the Huskies in recruiting talent for next year. Might allow Montana kid to redshirt. Should enable the Huskies to make more progress in bringing the football program back. Looks like a "team first" decision, rather than a "me first" choice. Those athletes who stay and finish the deal earn a special place in hearts of fans, and a permanent place in Husky legend and lore. Can't say that for those who leave early. Thanks Jake, and thanks to all past and present Husky athletes who have stayed and played, whether it was on the starting team or the practice squad.

The whole reason coogers are struggling with this decision, is that it was made out of pride, committment, dedication, respect and honor. All the stuff a cooger doesnt understand, nor would we expect them too Huh? Bro you got to be kidding. Jake chose w, I gotta give him props. He chose to stay in STATE . Unlike a couple of brother's who I watched play (and grow up) ball @ Art Fiker stadium, and chose to play for Myrens team.... Now you have Mr. Heaps committing to BYU...weak . Jake Locker will pay for for not going pro, but still has my respect. Mf
