The XMG 50 series by lamiglas is the best rod on the market hands down...
The 10ft. 8-15 model has its purposes concidering water conditions... but your best bet is the 9'6" 8-15.
You gotta ask yourself... do you fish bigger water like the cow? sky? skagit?
every xmg has its own personality so choose wisely, but whatever you choose you won't be disappointed...

Loomis 1165 Steelhead series have handled 20+lb steelhead and jumbo fall Kings on spoons for me,here at home,in B.C. and Alaska.I switched to them after breaking two X10 MHC Lamis and having to deal with the poor service,compaired to Loomis and St.Croix,from Lamiglas.

Couldn't be any happier with a Sage 290 or Sage 296 in my paws hucking metal.

Past that, I wouldn't know what the best spoon rod is if I was whacked upside the head with it.
