Anyone been up north lately? Thinking its about time for a roadtrip and havent fished these lakes for many moons...seemed like a chirony show last time I was there in May. Did find a lake up by Williams lake with legit steelhead sized bows but its one heck of a drive...any good BC lake websites? Cheers

Williams Lake is further north, and it seems a bit early for prime time there. You might consider the shorter drive to Merrit and fish Minny or some of the other valley lakes. The drive time is less than to get to Chopaka.

There are a couple BC fly fishing websites, but I don't have them bookmarked any more.

I found a few sites with bcadventure.com being the best I saw. Great topo, bug and misc specific lake info.

My past Williams lake area trips have all been in late may/early june and they were fishing well but didnt know how the current spring hatches were going that far north. Anyone ever fished Dragon?

One particular fly only lake has a 4-8lb average with many in the 8-12+ range...thats the one on my mind right now. cheers

I've only fished Dragon in the fall, on the way home from steelhead fishing trips. Some steelhead sized trout for sure.

I have a buddy who fished Tunkwa recently. Said he had good action chironomid fishing.
Here is the most recent fishing report from the resort.
