i am willing to pay a good amount for a good float rod.. ive been fishing the sky and the mouth of the wallace with my ugly stick which just doesnt work out for me! its a good spinning rod but not for what i am trying to do.. so if u have any extra float rods laying around let me know please.. i really wanna get into some steelies/kings

Just checked on EBAY....4 pages of "float rod" stuff......

While you think you might be happy with a 9.5 or 10 foot, believe me that more people wish they'd have gotten a 12 or 13 foot.

The longer rod is better for bobber fishing. Helps keep the extra line of the water and better control of the bobber. The longer rod handles and controls the fish easier.
