Just doing what you seem incapable of, and that is looking things up and finding answers.

Your inability to grasp a scientific concept, proves most anglers are really good at only one thing, which is catching fish.

Freespool,

You must have me mixed up with someone else. I read plenty of science articles. Here is one I’ll share with you.

For example:
Since you appear to appreciate the finer points of science.
Here is a UW study done by Matthew R. Baker and Daniel E Schindler on the "Unaccounted mortality in salmon fisheries: non-retention in gillnets and effects on estimates of spawners".

Journal of Applied Ecology
Volume 46, Issue 4, pages 752–761, August 2009

http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1365-2664.2009.01673.x/full

An intelligent person like your self would surely grasp the seriousness of the situation associated with the continued usage of gill nets.

You asked for information about the correlation between good and bad ocean conditions, and salmon populations.
Why you couldn't find it seems to indicate your either not smart enough to find it yourself, or you have an agenda that doesn't agree with the findings.

So lets say this pay for view article is right. rofl Of the 40 million run size nine went to escapement, if an average 20% of that didn't spawn due to gillnet injurys that would leave about 7.2 million to produce 40 million, is that feasible?

Hey SBD how’s it going. I was just going to respond to Freespool that I don’t have a problem with science but just the way it is interpreted or sometimes misrepresented. Thanks for the help. rofl

Going Good Louie.. Other great stuff in that article if you follow the links, funded by the Gordon Moore Foundation and a few others. There also pushing marine reserves but thats ok with me, its time. There's also recruits/spawner ratios for coho on oregon coastal streams, no gillnets and ratio is not so good 2-3/1 on an average year.

I wonder if there is betting line in Vegas yet on when the gill nets become illegal on the CR.
