I was wondering if anyone got out on the water and did any good today? I heard this season is supposed to be pretty good. I got the itch to go but last year left a bad taste in my mouth. Skunk, snag fish and a cold is all i got. Any news on where their biting good? Or if their biting at all?

I went out today(2/17) to possesion, and i caught six averaging about 4-5 pounds each. Didn't keep any though i'm looking for something bigger. But the thing is you have to be there at the right time. today it was hot for an hour, then it just stopped.

I fish areas 11-13 mostly but am willing to jouney if the fishing is good. We saw quite a few boats out today and wished i was one of them but i relied on the lame weather forcast which i am sorry i did. It was a beautiful day and the tides were just right. I think the Woppler Doppler is broken. Woppler is just too crusty to trust anymore. LOL Was there alot of bait around?

i fished redondo yesterday morning and this afternoon...3 rods for 9 hours and we got 2 fish...definately very slow, but this is the time of year for slow, maybe when the tides are better in the morning things should pick up

Well i finally made it out Sunday. We hit PT Defiance(loosely translated it means "this place sucks"). Trolled 3 poles from 90-150ft with spoons, herring, hoochies, plugs, and flies. Then we mooched and jigged catching nothing but a bullhead with a rack like an Elk. Saw some returns on the depth finder that looked like bait balls but could have also have been jellyfish schools. Nothing on the surface. Calm when we got there and a windy hell when we left. The chop was 4-6ft. Now i'm 0-7 for salmon at that stinkin place. I don't think i have yet to be skunked at Redondo. Wish the launch was better.

Fished up north on sun around PNP, didn't see and or catch any keepers. Wind was blowing pretty good but there was bait in the area.
