I'm proud of this Husky team. They have brought me a lot of smiles over the last 30 years or so, along with a few frowns but tonight's smile will be as big as if they'd won another National Championship.

You haters can bad mouth all you want; scoff at a 7-6 team, downplay at Locker's stats, whatever...but the fact of the matter is, they got owned by the Huskers early in the season and came back to win. That is a heck of an accmplishment. Locker may not have the most impresssive stats but he's got the heart of a lion and earned a place among all the great UW QBs. Mason's a monster and the D was impressive against the run. I look forward to seeing Polk run in the future.

What a feat!

Good game for the Fuskies. Dominated the line of scrimmage on both defense and offense. Locker played well but his QB efficiency rating stunk. I really like those CBs from Nebraska and would like to see Dennard play for the Seahawks as he is physical and shut down the Wurshington receivers and Locker down at the goal line. Nebraska is totally one dimensional on offense because they have no deep threats and Wurshington took away the running game.

If Dan S and Chuck were really good Fusky fans they would have been in San Diego tonight at the game.

Hank,

Unless you're a complete pussy, football players go into the game believing they will win. WTF would you take the field otherwise? Sark has had to shake this "ooh, we're gonna lose because we lost last time" attitude off this team. That was then, this is now.

What happened "last time" doesn't mean sh!t about what's going to happen "this time". ................as you saw last night.

My life isn't measured by and doesn't revolve around the Husky football team. So tell the "good fan committee" I said to go to hell. smile

Nice win, Dawgs. Remember what it feels like to win a big game.

2 interesting points I noticed:

1) Holt somehow got his D to show up and they won the game for us.
I've been questioning Holt and his D-coordinator skills all year but it was great to see the Purple D smothering Nebraska in the biggest game of the year. Well done D, specifically Mason Foster

2) That's what happens when Sark lets Locker run a little. Something around 100 yards running for Locker?
I know he's trying to groom him into a pocket passer, but for god sakes the kid can flat out run. Let him loose. I think all year Sark was in Lockers ear telling him to stay in the pocket and not run. Tonight he let him run and even had some designed QB runs. Locker brings a second dimension to his game that is almost uncontainable. For an opposing coach and D-coordinator, nothings scarier than a great running QB.

Great to see them win. The best part of it was seeing those Husky players cheering and celebrating after the game. They deserve every bit of it. Lots of hard work and its nice to see a Bowl game victory after that DBag Tyrone Willingham briefly destroyed Husky Football.

Not taking anything away from the dawgs, they played well, but let's be honest, even husky fans were shocked by the win, and are now puffing out their chests pretending they had faith all the time. Any way, good job UW

We had a very bi-polar team this year. They were either pretty good, or really bad when they played. One never knew which Husky team was going to show up to a game.

It was a very young and physically small team. A lot of returning starters next year. They will bulk up over the year and come back a pretty solid team next year. Our O and D lines can only improve.

I'll predict another 6 or 7 win season next year along with another mid-level bowl. A good year by all means. Only real question will be in the Quarterback spot. Price or Montana. Which one will step up to lead the team...???

Year after will be the real shot at a BCS bowl. Team should be full of talented junior/seniors at this point with the confidence of winning.

Keep the recruiting ball rolling and we're well on our way back to competing for dibs of the Pac-12 title.

It's gonna be a few years until the Coogs win an Apple cup again....let alone even have a shot at a conference title.

Damn Orygun is going to be on top of the Pac *again* next year. PUKE!!!!!!

Its no secret how the Dawgs won this game: They consistently got Neb into 3rd and more than 5 yards. They did this by totally selling out to stop the run on 1st and 2nd down. Holt called way more run blitzes than I have ever seen him call all season, almost every 1st and 2nd down he brought blitzes from every direction. Then on 3rd down he was able to only rush 3 or 4 and drop back into coverage and take away everything down field because Nebraska doesn't have any WRs or a QB that can throw more than a 5 yard pass. It wasn't pretty and it won't work against most Pac 10 teams because this is a throwing league and you will get lit up playing that way. Against Nebraska it was perfect.
