Okay Mike, atleast now I have a face with the name and glad to have met ya. Yes I did spend some money down there,(with the approval of my finacial advisor), and sat in 3 semminars, picked up freebie items, as usual, and had to try out the beer garden........

Well Carl, it wasn't too much of a lost. You probably would've spent some money down there, felt the pain of walking around in your feet, or figured that one beer you purchased cost as much as buying a six pack from the convenience store across the street. wink

Robert.....

I went, since I missed the earlier show at the fairgrounds. I had a pretty good time, drooling over boats I couldn't afford. Bought a new trout rod to replace the one stolen by the huge catfish in Gissberg Ponds last summer, a knife sharpener to sharpen my fillet knives, a bunch of hemostats for hook removals, a bass lure, and a neat salmon lure meant to replace plug cut herring. I can't wait to try out my new gear, but unfortunately the weather's not cooperating frown

Hey Mike, I did stop by and say hi. I was the guy that asked about the lake contour maps. I really do think the lake info is great, since the area is so dominated by salmon and rivers (not that those are so bad either). Believe it or not, I can have almost as much fun catching jumbo perch on an ultralight as trolling for blackmouth. Keep it up!

You're welcome Spurdog. It's always nice to meet the readers and talk with you all. The thing about lakes is, we have thousands of them in this state. And that gives an angler much better chances of finding some quiet spots than the rivers (IMO). You just have to size down your tackle and these freshwater fish can be as fun and exciting as those big salmon and steelhead. Whatever type of fishing one does, "it's all good".
