Add a pair of ski goggles to my dog's chewing tab.

Thankfully they weren't my Oakleys, just my daughter's Scotts.

This is why, after all those torn up socks, mangled shoes, disapearing countertop food, knocked over garbage cans, half eaten pizzas, and vet bills, we still look forward having them greet us when we get home, or wake us up with their big wet tounge....

Appreciate the words of encouragement on getting a new pup, but I may have to keep these posts to show the wife when things go south. Besides she could use a few less pairs of shoes!

I've had four dogs. All of em were demons as puppies. All became excellent teenagers.
Besides exercise I think everybody needs to do some training. You get to choose if they are allowed on furniture or not.
You get to choose if they jump up on people or not.
The steeling food one is tough. I've had a couple that would steel if they were given the opp. Other two won't/didn't do it.
I had one lab that was a fighter. That amazed me....but it was a rescue dog and I'm thinking her experiences led to this.
The jumping on people thing is cured by having buddies come over and give the dog a knee to the chest if it jumps up as they come in the front door. It doesn't hurt the dog and they learn pretty quick.

Mine currently isn't eating again... nor is anything coming out the other end... he's hunker squat walking all around the yard, with nothing to show for it.

I feed my damn dog's plain white rice and maybe some plain chicken meat if there not eating or feeling well, it's usually from nappy pond water though. Probably not much help in your case.

Hope he just passes whatever it is he ate.

Cedar loves the snow. It's fun watching a puppy be even more of a puppy when it snows. Talk about spazzing out!

If you guys need a bird for training next spring, I may have a few spare quail roosters. It seems that by the luck of the draw I have 3 hens and 8 roosters left. I'll probably cull down to 3 roosters. Wish it was the opposite, but that is the luck of the draw. I'll hatch as many as I can in the incubator, but I may also hatch a few chicks for capons and use those as brooders. We'll see.

I'm at 2 rooster pheasants and 5 hens, so I'm good on broodstock, but I may have some spare chicks if you are interested in raising your own training birds, or I may have a few spare full grown birds next fall.

My hope is to raise 100-200 pheasants.

Anyway, let me know if you guys need training birds for next summer.
