How does one floss a fish while trolling?

By using a flasher and a bare red hook. Fish swims up, checks out the flasher, then turns getting the line right through the chops.
brilliant! I like this one: "If I'm gonna drive three hours to go fishing, I wanna hook something"

I love the synchronized casting at the local floss hole. Guys lined up, mannerism's perfect and all working together to fish that tight spot where they're kegged up in hopes of slipping a lip...

God Bless Flossers! They all stay together, which I like. Leaves a lot of open water for me to fish. Quickest way I know of to identify a flosser is to watch him finish his drift. If he sweeps the rod (imitation hook set)......he's a flosser.....no matter what he says.

I remember being very young walking up to those floggin lines of people watching them set the hook at the end of every drift... Pretty impressive style of fishing.... You could always tell the new guy in the bunch because he'd be coming out of his shoes at the end of every drift....
My favorite quotes: "You see that, he just about ripped the rod out of my hand". "Ahh, I just missed him" "What a bite"
As they land it "Oh, this one bit"...
Or the ones coming in ass backwards and the buddy that walks out in the water to net it as to hide where it's hooked... Too funny....

There is some style to that sweep at the end of the drift. I like it when they face up stream and give it a blind yank.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Seriously...if you are fishing in a place and manner that causes you to exclaim "Right in the mouth!" the first time you see the fish...you aren't really fishing at all.
  Fish on...

Refer to the sportsmans code folks. Apparently I missed the page that says "Catching fish at all costs, even by snagging, is most important"... Flossers are snaggers, and have no business being in our "sport", because there is nothing sporting about their snagging. Fish on... Todd

Killer...as I predicted above, someone just pulled out the "how many of us don't always drive the speed limit" defense for snagging on the other website where NCD posted the same thread...
Do snaggers really have to justify themselves so badly to make such ridiculous comments?
  Really?
The obvious answer is...yes...or they wouldn't keep doing it.
As I put on the other board...
Snagging is snagging, and fishing is fishing...and never the twain shall meet.
  Fish on...
  Todd
