I like chums. I raised a bunch of them in the 70s cuz it was the new popular thing to build chum hatcheries. By happenstance a light went on, and I realized we don't need chum hatcheries. Chum do just fine in natural rivers. That concept has been a vital guiding light for me ever since.

Oh, but I don't fish for chums on purpose. Fair chase or not, that would violate 500 years of sporting tradition.

They evolved with teef when eskimos fed them to their canine troop.

I love fishing for chum. They can be aggressive, plentiful, and pound for pound put up a helluva fight. They don't get a lot of respect, so there tends to be very little fishing pressure on them. For the most part, I am able to fish them in relative solitude. I am a catch and release guy, so I am really only in it for the thrill of the fight. Chum are FUN FUN FUN!!!

neat-o. I hear the longer you make the leader, the brighter they get.

... or you can let them floss themselves using this technique... 18" to 24" leader, rod in the rod holder, don't touch the rod until the fish is about to take off with it!

Glen from Fishintogether4ever is the most annoying tool I have ever seen.
Good job Trent Rickman for putting up someone more toolier than yourself to distract from your tooliness.
