Yesterday evening my buddy and i took our kids out fishing at wapato lake (pierce county) and fished the dock right off 72nd st. The trout were popping all over. we fished from 5:30 till close and all together the kids caught 12 fish the smallest was around a pound with a couple over 3. I've been fishing my whole life and never saw any trout action like that we were just riggin with a bobber and a four foot leader and a big chuck of worm. The kids got to keep 1 fish each and was showing off to everybody who'd walk by.

Kudos to you! What a great treat for the kids, and for you. Time goes by all to quickly and introducing the youngins to fishing is a
great way to spend some time together. My father, who passed away some time ago, left me with many good fishing memomories, which I still cherish. Hooking the beaver while bass fishin, wading across rivers with me on his back, how to walk through the woods with the rods, and many more. I miss him and wish we could still take those trips together, but he taught me the sport he loved and it has turned into my passion.

"Young anglers love new rivers the way they love the rest of their lives. Time doesn't seem to be of the essence and somewhere in the system is what they are looking for."

Sounds like a great trip. Love to hear when the little ones get into fish laugh
