And the funny thing was, this guy bent down to remove the spoon from the gull's face not thinking anything of it. I was about to say watch out but it was too late. If you bring a bird in like that, it will be in shock and appear "chill". But seriously, nobody there was "Chullin' oot" after that happened. Especially the bird.

We have a family who nests in the tall trees nextdoor, and one of them was tearing apart a crow for lunch yesterday. Thought Mr. Vedder would approve!

They must burn about a zillion calories a day between flying and trying to stay warm on a open nest, no wonder they eat so much.

The video quality isn't so good in the dark, it's hard to tell...but it looks to me like they're having Duck a l'Orange for either a late night snack or breakfast.

Ike, I think you're seeing the gopher/ground squirrel that they added to the buffet this morning, next to the remains of the crow one of the adults caught yesterday...
Fish on...

The eagle that's sitting on the nest just got up and waddled around a bit...still just two chicks, tiny, and a third egg that hasn't hatched yet. I don't know enough about eagles to know if that's normal or not...? I wonder if that third egg will still hatch.
Fish on...

There's something going on the nest right this second...I think the third egg might be hatching...the other two chicks are climbing all over it and chattering...I wonder if they're chattering with the third chick, still in the egg?
Fish on...

I love how gentle this huge raptor can be. When she waddles back and forth over them it remnds me of a cat kneeding.

She's definitely getting fidgety, and messing with the nest a lot...there was an owl hooting a bit ago, and that got her attention!
