...uuuhhhhh..... I'd probably save my vacation time for when it's a bit warmer, say, May and later. Besides, the rules change for some of the eastside lakes next spring and instead of opening up in March, they open in April. This is only on some (or all) of the CWR lakes in the seeps.

Now, if I was going to Cabo, then March would be a good time.

TM, I won't be plinking at Old Man with my shotgun. He doesn't run fast enough and wouldn't be the same challenge you'd be. Just don't camo your float tube and put any duck appliques on it.

Zenbo, I dont use my float tube anymore it has a weight restriction laugh , I can only take my vacation at that time. Besides at that time the fishing is fine , like it was at this year. Plus not to many yahoos out yet. I think it will be great to have Old Man come along this fall.

Float tube has a weight restriction?

You ain't takin' advantage of all the donuts down at your workplace, are you?

Outboard mechanics are second only to policemen in quantities of donuts consumed, according to a recent survey....

Troutmaster: Don't plan on fishing with ME in March next year. Unless you wanna
head down to Redding Calif. for a shot at Eagle Lake monster bows.
When you come over though don't neglect that Lenora Lake. It waz the only decent
fly fishing on tap in early March last year. Elbo to elbo fishing on the N. end. I got a
sleeper early fly lake I'll share with ya though when we get together this fall.

I'm game for any date after 23rd of September, when I return from the Island.
If anyone is thinking of an early trip over.....think again. I waz out yesterday on Omak
Lake(66 degrees morning) and McGinness Lake ( 65 degrees afternoon.) A few nibbles
but no hookups and a very sparse bite. Fish are returning to shallow water, but they don't
stay for long before they head back to the thermocline.
Water has to drop another 4-6 degrees for a consistant flyfishing bite to develope.
My guess is around the 15th. at earliest. At least night temps are now into the 40's,
which will eventually lower the temp. Damn 100 plus days ruined the early fishing
this year.

Hey MB: Fill them slimy, ugly leeches fulla lead and head for the middle of the lake.
You'll probably fish alone down there Sunday....not even old Earl been out lately. I may
give Bonaparte a shot Sunday....just to be fishin. Cold nights come early up there
and those brookies may be on the prowl since it's nearly spawnin time. Let me know
how ya did Monday and I'll reciprocate.

This is quite a zipper lip you guys got going here. I too will be in same area, Don't know for sure but the warm bath water right now, bringing a shotgun for the birdies all soulds familiar.
Anyway, if you see a black f150- say Hi! When I'm not killing things I'll be tossing a bug straight across by the fence. Just hopeing for some cool night.
