Actually, if you want to get specific, it's Filipinos! I go with one of my best friends and his family, they have that fishery dialed in!

We usually fish Beach 1 or 2 and the beach at the campground.

Try it out! Good luck!

LOL thanks for the clarification (and hope I didn't offend), and I knew I was using a blanket term and almost typed "Southeast Asians". I didn't know how to write that sentence without being offensive, but the simple fact is that there are some folks down there who do 10x the amount of catching of everyone else.

I just wanted the original poster to get the best info available.

RR- Not offended at all! It's all in good humor!

Cobble- Some funny S&*T right there!

Just curious, do they bite all day long or are they a slack tide or early AM fish?

i've caught them at all hours of the day. i seem to do best on an incoming tide, though.

Schools of fish will be in depressions or drop-offs. I like the drop-offs and for this reason try to fish 2 hrs before low slack, through low slack and then the first hour of incoming. Minus tides best of all.

I should define what I mean by a drop-off......as you wade towards the surf, up to about waist deep the depth increases very gradually but there is a point a bit further out where you may go from, say, waist deep to suddenly 8-10 ft. This is where you'll find the majority of fish. It's easier to reach this zone at low slack.

Oh, and they do bite all day long....just gotta find a school, get a good bait in front of them and it's game on.

You could also try the mouth of the Copalis River if Kalaloch doesn't pan out. Before it drains into the surf there is a final corner next to a rocky hill on its north side. It's been ten years since I fished that area, but I always did good there just using nightcrawlers or shrimp fishing at low tide.

I think I saw a Morretti Neon Birra sign you had for sale. Is it still available?
