Absolutely the best deal going! I've bought 3 for downrigging and have been really happy. You don't have to worry about durability. I have caught BIG kings 30+ with no problem, great play. you won't be disappointed.

I run a couple of the CG on my boat for DR rods, they work great, haven't tried em for plugs. ... . . My personal DR rod is the CertPro Glass, ( I forget the actual name), it is a little more spendy, and a great rod as well.

Yes-
If it sits in one of my rod holders all day it's a CG!

I really like my Cert Pro Fiberglass rods but I haven't tried the CG's.

I have a few 8-20 CG's for plug rods outta the driftboat and they work like a charm plus I've been them up prety good on some 20-30 pound chinook and while they might look like theyre gonna break, they haven't. I also have 2 10 1/2 foot CertPro CG's in 12-25 and they are without a doubt the most versatile rods I own when it comes to chinook.

For DR fishing I've come to really like the Shimano Convergence 10-1/2 rods. But the CG Lami's are good rods too.
