A power company lineman uses a pole to remove a young deer carcass that was found on a power line.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) - A Montana resident says an energy company has identified the cause of a brief power outage as "deer with wings.".....

interesting story i heard last night about flying deer. a friend lives up in steven's county, and has a small orchard right near his house. there's a 6' fence (about 6"mesh), installed by the previous owner to which my friend added an additional 3 strands of wire, a foot apart. makes the total about 9'. he came home the other day to find a muley in there eating his cherry tree. he opened the gate to shoo the deer out, but the deer launched itself up and between the wires! a full grown deer squeezed through a 12" space 7 or so feet off the ground from about 8' away. that's some pretty good aim. i would have loved to see that.
