Im with NOFISH on this one, I may have to read it; especially since I deal with this type of stuff everyday..


On a quick glance, it looks like he was a communications director for the DNR..My question would be how does that qualify him to make these ascertations. I would typically expect to see them coming from scientists, engineers and the like. I guess I'll have to wait and read what he says..

Seems interesting to me too. Once one of you are done send me the book. I agree with a lot of this guy's examples and thoughts. I get involved with some of this green-ness every now and then.

My favorite is when I had a group who wanted to build a green condo complex. They basically paid 50% more for the construction costs with uglier finishes so they could feel good about themselves. I remember one guy telling me that the energy savings would pay off long after he died, but it was worth it. The best part of the project was during the initial excavation. I was there when the owners showed up to look at the start of their 'green' development. What they saw was a bunch of excavators and bare dirt where once stood 3 acres of a 2nd growth forest. One purple shorts guy said "There is nothing green about this!".
