Looking for a quality Left Hand retrieve bait casting line-counter reel. What I've only been able to find is the Okuma Convector. What I don't like about the convector is that it feels loose and not solid. I really like the Shimano Tokota and Abu Ambassador line-counting reels but they only comes RH retrieve.

Any other decent RH reteive reels out there? Primarily for coho/kings, plan on putting 30-40lb braid, etc. in the salt in my boat.

Thanks guys!

I've got some RH Tekota LC. Got tired of waiting for the LH version so I bought some Okuma LC's, which are not as sexy looking or feeling as the Tekotas, but they've turned out to be a pretty decent reel. IMO the Tekotas look and feel better than they actually perform anyway. Doubt I'll replace the Okuma LC's when the LH Tekota LC's are available.

PS. I never use my line counter level winds as a "bait caster"; too kludgy. Strictly use them as mooching/trolling reels or on front seat plug rods for folks that don't seem to grasp what a "pull" is. wink

That's it exactly. As much as Salmon/Steelhead fisherman in the PNW would like to think they are a majority in the market, they are only a small piece. Bass anglers, who predominantly retrieve right-handed, make up the majority of the market in the United States. Which in turn, gives them the greatest control over it. It's not that the reel companies aren't trying to cater to us as well, they are just practicing smart business and putting their resources where the most potential revenue lies.
