Regulations as explained to me:
If it says release Chinook, Coho, Chum, Pinks you can not keep jacks of any species listed.
If it says release ADULT (species) then you can keep jacks of that species.
If it says release wild (species) then you must release wild jacks of that species.

It changed a couple years ago, I have tried to make sure as many people were told as possible, half or more of which looked at me like I was crazy until someone got slammed for having 5 chinook jacks last year.

Twitchin jigs is most definitely not a sit down and not cast much activity. If it is, you're doing it wrong.

Picked up fish lower out toward bay moving with barometer drop. Coho heads down but hitting along the banks up past Cosy. The mass kept moving but at about 4 this afternoon the mass had stopped below, nah got find that your self. Oh yeah the Chinook are in the lead big time and the seals are everywhere and got three off the line around us.

Oh yes the rumor that I have perfected the C&R technique PRIOR to reaching the boat is just that a rotten rumor ....................

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!! grin

Nope not a bar but a rolled roast with potatoes, carrots and the fixings with two bottles of Lady in Red wine courtesy of a lovely lady friend! Figured typos and wording not a high priority. grin

Oh yeah, fish are still around and moving with about three seals a mile!

Didn't have a problem stanin' yah Rivr, worked at a bar so you were a lot clearer than a lot I dealt with.

Seems lots of fish moving, 1 seal down below and nothing biting down below. Did miss a couple bites but all then gone. Only know of 6 adults caught since opening day.

Why thank you! grin

On another note. From the now to the 27th the weather is mostly dry with a day or two rain, not much. From the 27th to Oct 2nd it is rain non stop so with the knowledge that weather forecast are seldom accurate it would appear a major shift to a wet fall is going to come our way.

After yesterday, Sunday, I'd say "you are correct.........12 bankies, 6 jet boats, 1 guide boat..............

Perfect fishing conditions........never saw a "jack caught", 1 small silver..... 4.5 hours.........not that many fish "rolled" the whole time I was there.........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

New boat.........can't get any blood "in the boat".......7:00 a.m.....off I go again.....try, try, try..............

Oh........I did the eggs for jacks, twitched for "big fish", did the spinner and plugs bit.....so I tryed..........oh....above Monty but below Fuller..........

Hell I might even have to fish the Humptulips.........been 10+ years since I was there.........for anything....

Good luck..........

Maybe if enough cry babies run over there we can get the Hump to rise enough to bring up a fish.

Saw your new boat D-WA. Looks sweet! I got lucky and had a few fish to the boat yesterday morning before 9. Only saw one other hooked, and that was by castingpearls.

IMO it was bad fishing conditions for early fish yesterday, the river was rising all morning (just a little bit), it was definitely getting slightly colored after about 9 am. One feeder creek coming out of the farm-fields was brown with silt.

1 jack, 1 Chinook right in front of my house as I started in about 20 and it made me look like a fool ( some say not that hard to do ) and a bloody fur ball SOB snatched a small silver I finally hooked after being skunked for two days about 5 ft from my boat.

There are fish moving slowly but it is hard to get to them as they are gun shy and in the brush along the edges. Half mile from my house both ways I had 6 seals. The fish I saw mostly were on the top running with a seal chasing them off the flats. Nothing is holding in the middle reaches below Monte and if they try the seals are on them.

Little edit: The reason I say they are moving is the mix of fish in the reach between and in the holes at each end of the island near my house has changed each day. Not a lot of fish but all bright.

Finally.........blood in the new boat..... much better than the past 3 days....

Really a tough go, Monty to Fuller Bridge.......typical of many years......a few "rollers" and a few "jacks in the fast waters". Numbers of "bankies" is down to almost nil......kinda tells ya something.

Been "hold over tides"....not my favorite to fish.....and today there was a "east wind". Beautiful day to be alive and to live in Grays Harbor, what a change from Sunday........just not many "biters".

Well amazing enough the bankers are getting them down by Lakeside to the bridge. Both sides the river but if you go past the old Bay City yard not much. So it is hunting time!
