God has a sense of humor. I have the whole week off from work, permission from the wife to fish each day (including on Thanksgiving Day) and then the Storm From Hell arrives!
Cowlitz is up about 7 feet in 24 hours (40.27' at Castle Rock booming at 29,700 cfs!)
Why me????????????????

Also, the wife has finally figured out why this site is called Piscatorial Pursit. She says it's because we're just "pissin' our time away"! (Which is funny cause SHE wanted to fish on Friday). Insults. I get nothing but insults..........

At least some fish will make it upstream of where netting has been occuring on some systems so in a few years request this week off and you should hammer them. The glass is always half full  .

I went to town last night....QIN is netting the river, boats were out and the wind was moving my car around and the rain was coming down in buckets.....hope they got

I'm thankful for my late muzzleloader tag opening day tomorrow.
This year I won't have to be shivering in the woods getting pictures of big coho sent to my phone from my family and friends on the river.

A well rounded angler would grab a bag of tricks and head south, way south....Panama south, I hear the fishing has been good there. F this noise.  There isn't a bag of tricks in my neck of the woods, Stamly. You have to head into the big city to find those, or down south... oh wait, you didn't mean... no wonder fishprince didn't reply to that..

Oooooookay, took a trip up the Cowlitz and she's for sure blown out! Small logs, etc coming down (especially from the Toutle). Just as brown colored as the creek outside my window! Although they dropped the water outta the dam (9,140 cfs vice 9,900) she's still running at 33,400 cfs at Castle Rock! When will this rain end???????????

Sitting home and going through your winter run steelhead chit for a four day weekend and not getting out to use any of it will drive a guy crazy."Thank god for Crown royal and porn" other wise I'd have to take up something healthy like hiking in the rain / snow.Good luck,
