Wow, where do I start with this one. Friday was slow fishing in bone-chilling wind on the Hoh. HarborHog, Nick and myself went 3 for 6 or something pathetic like that. That evening we rendezvoused with Fly and Fishhead5 in the palacial environment of room-1 at the Amanda Park no-tell Motel for drinks. Fishhead5 and HarborHog each took a Tylenol PMS and went to bed before Fly, Nick and I, which wasn't a bad move on their behalf in retrospect, because we hurt ourselves BAD. I can tell you sitting on a frozen bench seat outside in 20-degree weather at midnight in my bare feet stairing at what little food I'd eaten that day in the grass is not cool. I staggered inside afterward and made it until 2:00 Am when Fly and I finally passed out. I Vaguely remember Nick in the background persecuting us with a volly of, "Ya bunch of pu$$ies. If you stay up another 15 minutes I'll put you on the cover of STS." Fuc% it, was all I could think as I dozed off. Saturday was ugly. Imagine three poisoned individuals sitting in a restaraunt waiting for food while Fly enlightened the staff and other clientel with his four-letter word vocabulary. I have finally met someone who swears more than me. We hit the river by Noon. I could still smell vodka coming though my skin at 3:00 and I swear I could have blown a 0.05 had I been pulled over driving home that evening. Fishing was slow on Saturday. I think we went 3 for 5. I've gotta give Fly credit, that boy can fish and he knows his river. All these guys are salt-of-the-earth buds and I enjoyed hanging with them. I put together a video I'll post as soon as Parker puts it on his Mac and sends me the link.

Right on man, I absolutely loved it, it was a blast and I gotta give you kudos for manning up after the episode outside, you still hung in there and partied on until whatever time it was when we finally gave into the Vodka, I am a bit worried about the pics Nick was taking though, not sure what happend or where those will turn up. could be scary.

Sounds like too much fun =) Did a hell of a lot better than I this weekend! Got to fish for about 45 minutes on sat.. lol.. And no fish =)
On a good note, I did just pick up a bag of ASSORTED corks to soak in this low clear water, for next to nothin, AND starting next month (25th b-day), I'll be saving a BUNCH of money on my car insurance =)

I was feeling a bit down that I wasn't invited, but Sol's report reminded me why I shouldn't feel so bad.
I remember Nick at 2:30 in the A.M., the day of the Snoopy Rod Derby "pracrtice " casting his jig at the mirror in our motel room. All good fun till the bell rings the next day. The next day he was asking how his float got so trashed.
Nick, John Posey, of Lamiglas and I are fishing with John Koenig and Rob Endsley on the Skagit in two weeks. I know John and Rob are too smart for an all nighter. Unfortunatly John, Nick and I are not. Report to follow.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

You know they say " You can't drink all day unless you start early in the morning " I have always maintained that staying up until 03:00 A.M qualifies. Actually, my marathon drinking days are over. Too much pain in the A.M.
Sounds like a good time had by all.

Seems like ISO could come up with something for this.
" On the cover of STS " to the tune of that old Dr Hook song. Cover of Rolling Stone.
" He's a bobber slinger who has 14 fingers with egg goo on his Jeans "..

Infamous, maybe...but famous?
How's about "notorious"...that's a much better thing to be, in my opinion!
Fish on...

B-Run..
You give me too much credit Dude!
But, just the thought of this crew pounding down alcohol by the liter (vs. what most of us call an ounce) gives me some seriously good ideas if'n I get them to fit those lyrics.
The old Dr. Hook really rocked...too bad kids today couldn't appreciate such quality in their music. I don't recall any Dr. Hook song that told anyone to do anything bad to anyone else, or called anyone names. They were major advocates of staying stoned and in the groove.

Hey Dave V., I'm sure you'll have fun with the boys on the Skagit. If Nick and Posey wuss out and go to bed early, remind them of the time in Chilliwack when we couldn't get them up in the morning and they didn't hit the river until afternoon. Must of been some bad chinese food the night before...........right.
