You can look into Gary Loomis new north fork composites blanks or edge rods. He has redesigned and updated a lot of the old equipment he designed in the loomis days. I have a lot of the (HM) new glx type blank and have yet to break one. They are stronger from what I can see and lighter as well. Their (IM) blanks are similar to the IMX but again feel lighter in hand. They are making a great product!
