While I'm sitting here writing this, we are having a hail storm. I guess I'm jumping the gun by a few months, but here goes.
One of my most favorite things to do in the summer is to go camping in a place where fishing is just outside your tent flaps. A couple of my favorites are Tiffany’s Resort on Curlew Lake in Ferry County, and Three Rivers Resort at Lowell Idaho where the Lochsa and Selway Rivers join to form the middle fork of the Clearwater. A camp breakfast of hotcakes with maple syrup, bacon, eggs & coffee is a great thing to start a fishing day with.
Does anyone else have some places they’d like to share? I shared with you, now it’s your turn. OK?

Lotech Joe

I used to camp at Rimrock Lake, but in the last couple of years it's been "discovered" and the last few times I've been its been shoulder to shoulder with partiers and azzwipes in Wakeboarding boats trying to swamp you with thier wakes.

Try Black Pine Lake in Okanogan County. Great camp spots and secluded fishing. Plus, the lake is to small for wave makers.

Ive been seriously eyeing The Okanogan for quite sometime. Ive been 4x4ing up to secluded fishing/camping spots for quite some time, and even though Ive been in WA all my life, I still havent explored that corner yet.

I have a secret lake my son and I go to every year to catch lakers and sleep on our boat. But it's a secret... otherwise I unfortunately don't have time in my life to do much camping. I do love the Central Washington area lakes (Potholes, Banks, etc)

Hey Mike,
Sun Lakes State Park looks like it might be a good family camp spot. Park Lake is right there along with several other noteworthy lakes.

sun lakes is great fun, but definitely you won't be alone there. good fun, usually lots of fish in most all of the lakes, banks lake nearby, but it gets crowded around the general opener. there's park lake and blue lake that are big enough for bigger sized boats too.

What about camping/fishing this time of year? (I have a heater for my tent!). Can you recommend any places for around Thanksgiving time?

Where are you located and what kind of fishing are you into?

If you are looking for a quiet place to camp for next year, try Coffee pot and Twin lakes North of Odessa. The four seasons campground at Sprague is nice and the owners are great folks.Hawk creek is a good winter camp.

Fish Hunter 07 is right. I promised the person that showed me the lake I would not mention it on this site. It's just too fragile to withstand heavy fishing pressure. Sorry, I hope you understand.
