I'm starting to wish I was 5' 6" with the way waders are designed. And if being 5' 6" would guarantee me catching a bunch of large silvery kings, well I'd take that as well.

So it seems like Dan Bailey's are my best option if I want to keep it under $200 and get some quality waders in the proper foot size with the body not being terribly huge. Feedback here and sizing charts seem to confirm this. Seems like all their offerings are decent quality or better.

As long as they keep me dry and don't break the bank or make me look like a clown, I'll be pretty happy.

Thanks for the useful information. I'm sure it will save me a lot of trouble. Already returned one pair, and would rather not have to do that too many times.

You wont regret going with the Dan Baileys. They are very well constructed for the price.

Finally worn out my second set of DBs, from which I got great comfort and service. Every time I return from fishing lately there's a new seep leak through the fabric. I thought about another patch job, but after turning them inside out and seeing all the black marking pen circles filled with Aqua Seal, I decided this set has also earned retirement. I'll probably buy DBs again, but first I have to wear out the other two sets - Patagonia and Redington - that I bought as backups when I found them on sale.

I still think the size 13 boot on him would be awesome. Cheap water skis.
