Did Farrakhan have to go have a chat with the Secret Service today to discuss "Leadership is nothing to play with,’cause people tomorrow, maybe in a few days,people are gonna kill their leaders." ?

Is it because Farrakhan, a left-wing nut job who seriously thinks he's taken a ride on a spaceship and communicated with aliens, is o.k. because at least he's not a right-wing nut job like Nugent?

As is always the case...always...when the Republicans do something reprehensible they never step back, apologize, or re-think it...they find something the other guys did, something that bares sometimes not even the slightest resemblance to what they are being ripped for, and say "See! It's exactly the same as them!"...or, as is the case here, actually believe that The Nuge's comments are cool.

The NRA has taken down previous footage of Ted Nugent off its website and YouTube channel, first brought to attention by the left-leaning Media Matters for America. It comes amid the rocker Nugent's nonsensical and controversial statements, which led to a Secret Service investigation and a meeting with the agency today.

The NRA has coverage all over its blog and videos on its YouTube channel of the meetings that took place in St. Louis this past weekend, but only one blog item on Nugent that does not center around the controversial comments he made.

The NRA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Nugent said that "if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” This prompted the Secret Service to investigate.

A spokesman, Brian Leary, said by phone that the agency recognizes an individual's right to freedom of speech but that the agency has "a responsibility to determine and investigate intent."

"We are aware of it, and we are conducting an appropriate follow-up," Leary said.

Leary said the agency had no comment if the Secret Service was involved at all in the NRA's taking down of the videos.

Nugent said yesterday on conservative radio show host Glenn Beck's show that he was meeting with the Secret Service today.

"We actually have heard from the Secret Service, and they have a duty, and I salute them. I support them and I'm looking forward to our meeting tomorrow," said Nugent, described as a "Rock Star/Gun Enthusiast" in the chryon of Beck's show.

The blog item on the NRA's website reports how he sent the convention out "in style" and that he spoke about "how great and important it is to exercise our right to bear arms."

It ends with, "Thanks, Uncle Ted," so, yeah.

Just kidding...they're still licking his balls because he has the droolers and mouth breathers in the palm of his hand...they just removed the actual video of him schitting from his mouth. They can't lose the droolers and mouth breathers, or they'd lose 80% of their membership.

And, in the long run...those membership dues are what the NRA is all about. They don't care who the President is...there is always a gun grabber hiding behind every rock, and every tree...but I'd guess they prefer a Democrat so that they can really get the gunowners with more money than brains to tithe a bit more to the Altar of the NRA.

Secret Service on meeting with Ted Nugent over Obama comments: ‘The issue has been resolved’

Ted Nugent met with the U.S. Secret Service in Oklahoma on Thursday to discuss his controversial comments about President Barack Obama--and the agency says the issue has been "resolved."

I hope that doesn't mean that Nugent's promise to "be dead or in jail" when Obama is re-elected in November isn't off the table...I have a couple old vinyls of his music, if he gets himself shot in a hail of gunfire I can probably sell them to The Charlton Heston Foundation for millions!

Republican Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer Vetoes Guns in State Buildings

Yes, you read that headline correctly. The polarizing Governor of Arizona made a prudent legislative decision this week pertaining to a state gun bill that would have allowed people to openly carry firearms into state government buildings.

This is the second time that Gov. Jan Brewer rejected the NRA-backed measure. As the law stands today in the state of Arizona, any government building (e.g. senior centers, libraries, city offices) can ban guns from its premises by posting a sign at the entrance. A new state house-approved bill would have taken away that power, but Governor Brewer prevented that from happening with a few swift strokes of the veto pen.

After disposing of the bill, Governor Brewer said, “More thorough and collaborative discussion is needed…The decision to permit or prohibit guns in these extremely sensitive locations should be cooperatively reached and supported by a large coalition of stakeholders.”

The issue of gun control is a particularly touchy one in the Grand Canyon State, the home state of Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head at a campaign rally near Tucson in 2011. Giffords survived the attack and has been a vocal supporter of gun control legislation ever since.

If Arizona had passed this bill, they would have become only the 10th state in the nation to allow firearms in government buildings, according to Reuters.

P.S. In case you missed it in the headline, Gov. Brewer is a Republican...plus, it's the second time she's actually contributed...personally...to the banning of guns on public properties in Arizona.

Twice she's told the NRA to go to hell.

Someone should give her a medal...not for vetoing the bill, because I could care less if it were signed or not...she should get a medal for not allowing the NRA to bully her into doing what they want, like every other single Republican legislator...city, state, federal, all of them...everywhere would allow themselves to be bullied, even into signing a bill that would allow people to carry guns in City Hall or to the City baseball park.

I suspect if TN lived in this part of the country he'd target wild Steelies......and keep his one legal fish, being a hen.......
