OMFG!
Started with a little headache Wednesday. Eye and headache Thursday. Serious eye pain Friday. Into the ER after dialysis(Late Friday) No / misdiagnosis by optometrist. Saturday eyeball pain (felt like eyeball plucked out and stomped on) wiki says debilitating pain. Back to ER where sharp little nurse picked it out from slight rash on forehead. Overprescribed Acycolivir. Needed renal dose which is 1/2 of what was prescribed. Into ER Tuesday AM (Like 3am) Hospitalized all day Tuesday . Hemo in a little room is HORRIBLE . Water purifier runs at 100 decibels for 4+ hours.

Moral of the story is GO GET THE SHOT.

So simple a preventative. Get the shot. I've had Chickenpox as a
juvenile so herpes lives within.

Bad stuff, for sure. I had it when I was 23. Started a lot like yours. The pain was pretty bad, but it was when the skin on my face started peeling away that I decided it was time to see a doctor. Some of the worst discomfort I have ever known. Get well soon. Summer days aboard the Sea Kitten await you.
