SHORELINE, Wash. – The State Patrol is looking for witnesses in a fatal accident involving a pedestrian early Saturday..

The State Patrol says at about 1 a.m., a 17-year-old girl died of her injuries in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 after being struck by multiple vehicles.

At 12:41 a.m., the Washington State Patrol 911 dispatch received reports of a pedestrian standing alone on the side of the NE 145th overpass for southbound Interstate 5 over traffic.

Troopers arrived at the scene to find the girl with fatal injuries in the center lane of southbound Interstate 5.

Witnesses stated the female was struck by passenger cars and a semi truck that continued on. Investigators believe that several vehicles stuck the girl but continued on, potentially unaware they had struck a person.

Washington State Patrol detectives are asking witnesses and anyone who may have been involved to contact Detective Mederios at (425) 401-7719.

im sure you can figure out how it all started, but that part is rather irrelevant, whats relevant, is that several people hit her, and continued on, without stopping... i figured i would put this up here, in hopes maybe someone heard or saw soemthing... any help is appreciated, this was a very very good friend of mines Neice...thank you for your time...
