I am staedily preparing and practicing everyday for my first ever archery season. Was wondering what some of you veterans prefer for camo clothing. I'll be hunting blacktails here on the westside, and maybe Mule Deer in Eastern Washingon, along with trying my hand at elk. Do you guys spend the money on the high dollar scent reduction clothing, or do you just buy regular camo and treat it yourself? Also, where does a guy find face paint camo?? I've looked in the many bowhunting magazines and cannot find an advertisement. Thanks in advance for your comments. Brass

I have had pretty good success for bowhunting deer.

Since this is your first time archery hunting, I wouldn't suggest throwing down 100s of dollars for scent lok type clothing your first season. Wait to see if this is what you want and in the future you can start dumping money into it.

I would suggest buying scent free soap and lotion like Scent Kit . Make sure you're scent free. Wash your cammos in a scent free detergent, or a hunters detergent, like... hunter detergent . Move slowly(if still hunting) and watch the wind with something like ... wind checker .

As and if you get more into it, you will realize ( or think you do) what more in gear you will need.

Just my two cents. ---Mike
