Anyone else following this Tournament? Here is a really great link with all of the groups and results http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2012#Group_stageI wonder what the odds are/were for 1-1 ties I am rooting for Germany for no particular reason. Obviously Spain or Italy would be a good pick as well. Its good that everyone can get together, put politics behind and just have a good time. (whoops strike that http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/world_no...2012-match.html )

You bet we are. We just finished the Spain vs Italy match via the DVR last night and have the recorder on for another match today. I've always had a nod for the English side, or anything English-like for that matter. I think the German side should do well this go-round, good luck. PS I do think the tourney's logo is a bit lame this year however.

Been reading about the matchs online. I never watch too much soccer until the last World Cup in South Africa. My niece was on summer break from teaching at a school for the deaf in Cameroon and she went to a few matchs. She was an exchange student in Sardinia and her exchange sister lives there now so she had a place to stay with a local. She and her 'sister' were the only anglos on the Cameroon side at the match when the Indomitable Lions lost their only two games when their big gun, Samuel Eto' didn't step up.

Every once in a while a game catches my attention and I'll watch it, but the same thing that happened today happens all the time...two guys go to head the same ball, they bump shoulders, and both go down holding their heads like they just got hit by a 90 mph fastball in the earhole.
Slow motion replay shows that neither of them got touched on the head at all, of course...but luckily they are limping, too, when they get up, so apparently they were shot in the kneecap at the same time they were both beaned by fastballs in the ear.
I get so disgusted by the lack of sportsmanship that I turn the game off...the women don't do that in the World Cup or Olympic games I've watched, so I can only conclude that the women are far more sportsmanlike, not mention un-pussy-like than the men are.
Until they start handing out yellow cards to all the whiny bitches and clean the game up I will not be a men's soccer fan.
Fish on...

Yea, I hear on the floppers. It does break up the pace of the game. Reminds me some b-ball players but worse.

Damn Todd for a second there I thought you were talking about the NBA......I guess soccer fits as well. I think I only watch once every four years for a few days in a row so I dont notice it as much with soccer.

Spain really put it to the Irish. Looks as though it is headed for a Spain - Germany championship.
I heard the Irish were going to have a party after the game anyway. I heard they had a party before the game, and I am pretty sure some of them were even partying during the game!
I love the chant "Let him die, Let him die" for the floppers.
