Parker-

Tom Quinn was a Post-doc of Ernie B back when I was there, and he has carried the torch well for wild fish as im sure you know. Saw him the other day as one of my reports defended his thesis.

Ted P was brand new when I took 401...A lot of memorization that until recently has served me well. He has 30 years in, at least!

Im looking at retirement options, time flies!

Someday, we shall compare notes!

We now return to the normally-scheduled RH infatuation...

I have caught a lot of them in Chelan. They like fresh whitefish chunks and a pretty long soak, overnight is best. Doesnt matter where you throw it down, long as its thirty fathoms or so.

Wow, burbot to tom quinn! what a thread.

I read Tom Quinn's book about Salmon behavior and ecology and it changed my life. In fact, I decided to change careers. Hope to meet him someday. milt roe, do you know if he fishes for fun?

Best,

Eugene, yes he does. Probably has something to say about burbot as well.

Follow your passion and you will meet many interesting folks. Eventually you will be one of those that people seek out.

Thank you milt roe! I'm trying...

Hope to meet him and other legends at a meeting someday or even better, on the water doing salmonid research.

Caught a couple 5 pounders in Minnesota last summer while fishing for Walleye. Daytime, live baiting minnows on the bottom in about 20 - 40 ft of water. Frickin' gross is what they are. The smell....

It's a regional thing. In the PNW, BC and AK they are considered good eating fish, while easterners such as yourself consider them trash fish.
