Didnt take many photos the last week but i managed to take some of the geese we shot on wed and thurs.
Couple good hunts. Got big honks on the first day and then some dinks on the second.
Anyone looking at decoys should NOT get the avery fully flocked GHGs. They looked terrible out in the sun and very silver. In the clouds they were fine, but just terrible in the sun

we eat a lot of birds. It does not go to waste believe me... I love all the birds we shoot.
Goose for dinner last night. Duck tonight. Duck tomorrow.

I got 6 drake mallards with bands. Still searching for the elusive pintail or teal band. In fact any other duck would be really cool.
I have yet to get a goose band but i dont hunt them that much.
if i could band hunt for geese, like i do mallards(which only ended up netting me one) i would hope to get a few.
Now just getting more dropzones, some land to hunt, and learning how to call geese.... smile

Thats all the access i have left is some fields off the bay the load up with snows. Its either really hot or really cold of ducks though. We have had days where we have limited out on green heads in a couple hours and then days that we set out 3-4 dozen deeks and shot a couple teal. But the snows seem to always be close by out there.
