Anyone have any information on hunting the Randle or Mossyrock units for late season muzzleloader (elk) that they would be willing to share?
thanks,
LF

I don't know much, just that both units are almost 100% private land. I believe Mossyrock has a small area owned by a timber company that allows access. But I've heard that it's very thick and difficult to hunt. You may want to consider hunting another unit.

Thanks Hairy Ape. I did some driving this past weekend and you are correct....lots of private land. There is some public land, but not much in the way of clearcuts. I'd really need a few weekends or more to get a better lay of the land.

One thing I do know is that the best units are not the either sex units. My advice is look at the units that are open only for bulls, and hunt one of those. I know it seems your odds are much better in an either sex unit, but those units are generally mostly private land or otherwise very difficult to locate elk.
