Us "old Timers" fished them in the 60's and man did they work good!
BUT, Oh I forgot, all the rivers were full of fish in the 60's and we caught them on everything we threw!
Okies worked no better than eggs and yarn or a corkie and yarn.

But I did fish a rocket red okie with Chartrues yarn on the Snoqualmie quite a bit and caught lots of fish on that combo!
Orange and white yarn on the Sky and Hump, but like I said, those rivers had so many fish we were all experts in those days!

And don't forget the "Fenton Fly" it worked just as good as any Okie or Corkie!

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Fishing $10 drift bobbers, huh?

Why not just tattoo "I'm an asshole" on your forehead?

Funny...all the Okies I fish with cost fiddy cents, at the most. Most of them were under a quarter each.

Fish on...

1. Painful?

2. Expensive?

3. Freakish?

4. Less fun than fishing?

Still though, 10$ drift bobbers is straight dumb. I pay 10 cents for what I use mostly. I'm not much of a bouncer though.....

There's really no need for the tattoo, anyway.

If you fish a $10 drift bobber, then everyone already knows.

Would a person have it tatooed so others can read it or backwards so when you looked in the mirror you wouldn't forget what you are?

I shoulda' waited a few years, until the interwebz and Ebay. I sold a bread sack full of assorted Okies along with a few other classics at a neighbor's yard sale for $20 or $25 in the late 1980s. And I thought that was a good price.

People are crazy... Anything more than .50 cents is ludricious. Give me the small Outlaw Baits egg clusters or Xfactor ones. They are softer, pretty dam durable, scented and best of all, I can get a 12 pack for 2.50... They even look better IMO than oakies and steelhead sure as hell dont mind them either...
The kid who paid 350 for 20-30 of em is crazy.
