As with most things, it's your "friends" you need to worry about more than your "enemies" when you are talking politics, and Sol Dunce is a gun owner's worse nightmare.
He's the one that will end up on the news looking like a total dipshit, probably with a tea bag hanging of a tricorner hat, remains of a gas station hot dog on his tshirt, which will likely feature the President with a Hitler moustache and a Soviet flag, and a sign with a minimum of two badly spelled words.
The news dudes won't seek out Andy, or some other reasonable person...they'll look for the biggest fruitcake on the entire campus...and they'll all find some idiot like Sol Dunce...and he'll be splashed all over the evening news, laughing his ass off while everyone else cringes.
