Saw on another board where someone mentioned the Lacey Wholesale Sports closed. Can anyone confirm this?

I know the one in Federal Way has signs on the front door stating they are closed until the transition to convert it back to a Sportsman's Wharehouse is completed.maybe the one in Lacey was purchased also?

Wholesale Sports sold their US stores back to Sportsman's Warehouse. The Lacey store got the axe and all its inventory was taken out and dispersed to the other Sportsman's Warehouse stores.

Bummer,

Short of going all the way up to Sportco, they had a little better selection, in my opinion, of the fishing gear I need than did Cabelas.

From another website:

The stores in Burlington, Washington; Lacey, Washington; Spokane, Washington and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho were purchased by Alamo Group. It was their decision to close these locations.

I caught wind a few weeks back and checked it out because if sales. 75% off wholesale sports brand items. All other items were transferred to other stores. Unfortunately by the time I got there most if the wholesale sports brand items were already gone. Not that they had much to begin with...

That sucks, the only thing cabelas tended to do "better" were things like swivels/hooks. Hardware @ cabelas is way overpriced and their corky selection was weak.

Looks like I'll be making more trips to yelm and visiting sunbirds.

wet brine steelhead in a huge glass bowl, you're not the first person to ask... I guess it does look like a small plastic cup with mystery stuff in it.

When will the remaining stores be switched and open under the Sportsman warehouse name.

Is corky selection a determining factor in what makes a store "better" than another?

If so, my criteria for sporting goods stores has been wrong all along.

one of many factors, wholesale had a far superior gun counter, better rod selection, and their staff tended to be more friendly/knowledgeable as well.

One thing you can't knock cabelas for is their return policy, pretty amazing and hassle free.
From a fishing perspective I'll miss wholesale.

Another fishing supply option......Gone!!!! It was nice to be able to go to Costco, then Wholesale Ware House, if timed right, could have dinner.....then head West....

I noticed the Marine store in the Auto Mall.........Locked up!!!!!!!!!
