I'll take a stab at it Dave. I guess 12lb for the first, and 10 for the second. BTW, I was the guy in Monroe on thursday wearing the Green Simms coat and the Black Sage stocking hat. we were talking about building rods and the 10'6" sage blank you designed for Lamiglas.

I think I can speak for most people on the board when I say that they look like half of the20 lb'ers that get posted =) Respectively, I'd say 8 and 15

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Lemme guess. First one looks smaller than it really was, second one looks bigger than it actually was? I'd guess about 12. On both. I've never been that good at weight estimation, so I've decided that I don't care. Both are nice fish.

Its hard to tell fish weight/size with alot of pics. The tail wrist is a good way to judge if they are "big" or not
Top: 34" 14lb Bottom: 27" 8lb

I've got it...
Dave, the one you caught was four pounds...the ones Ike and I caught were all at least 16...
That sound about right? :p
Good post...I'm interested in seeing the guesses...pictures can certainly be deceiving!
Fish on...
Todd

TBird: You are right about many of the "20" pounders we see posted. That's what made me post this. I can see already that the guesses vary pretty dramatically.
Todd: I didn't post a picture of your fish, but if you don't behave, I will. (I did have a macro lens with me.)

Hey, anyone can catch big fish in February...it takes a very talented and persistent fisher to set his upper limit at five pounds and stick to it!
Fish on...

That top fish looks like a bullet and probably behaved like one. About 8 lbs of big time trouble That bottom one, being a hen full of eggs, also probably was one he!! of a tussle. I think Stam62 got her right but I'll call her 13#'s to be different. Cool post Dave!

Top 6.5, maybe 7-lbs.
the bottom is a chunk 35", but fat. So I give it a shade under 16-lbs.
What do I win?
