...and I am afraid it is not good. Tried to set up a shuttle with Dave at the Rockport Texaco (thanks Robbo and Rhino) last week and he informed me that he is no longer providing the service. Apparently, the guy that used to help him out moved out of the area.
At any rate, a post on the board would sure be appreciated should anyone hear of a change in Dave's status or of a new service.
Until then I guess the local gas stations will stay in business and I'll have to keep looking for an amphibious scooter.

I know that last year the owner of Clarks Bunny Cabins in Rockoport did a shuttle service for like $10. The number is (360) 873-2250 maybe give him a call and see if he is still doing it.

Hey in2fish, sorry to hear the news from Rockport, Dave is a great guy, maybe he will find another person for shuttle help. Are you heading up there for the fish or the eagle float or both? Is the river clear above the Sauk? Anyway, thanks for the post, I was planning on using that shuttle again myself.

JJ- Thanks for the info. We'll definitely look into it.

Riverdog- Was headed up to enjoy the break in the weather more than anything else... with the Dollies and occasional chum to keep things interesting. I am not sure what the water clarity is like below the Sauk at this time. I drifted the Sauk between the Bennitville and Government bridges yesterday and the water was fantasticlly clear. Can't imagine it's coloring up things too badly. My attitude is that it's always worth a shot...good luck.
