Old stock damaged kick lever on right, new upgraded one w/ stainless insert on left. See how it was re-engineered?

For guys like me who like to get their hands dirty rebuilding reels, here is a Revo kick lever teardown & upgrade with a lube job. This one is done on an Inshore leftie.

Fully aware of it, have the parts, many have been redone, still not a great fix seeing as ABU fixed it three times and it still didn't work. The first time I took it in to get parts and fix it, the shop told me "do not take it apart, don't let anyone take it apart before you send it back". This was because they knew it was a defect and would be covered under warranty.

There were several versions of this reel. there were 1800's, 1801's and 1802's

The 1800's were the worst.

I know some people say they didn't have problems with them, but everyone I know well that owned one had the same problems......repeatedly.
